Matt has built a highly accomplished career spanning elite sport and commercial property, underpinned by a relentless performance mindset, strategic discipline, and a proven ability to deliver results in high-pressure environments.
Before establishing himself in the property sector, Matt represented Australia as a prop for the Wallabies, earning 45 Test caps between 2003 and 2009. Even during his international rugby career, he maintained a clear focus on business and property, laying the foundations for a deliberate and well-executed transition into the industry.
Following his Rugby retirement, Matt quickly established himself within tenant representation at CBRE Group, working alongside Brendan and Nick and specialising in industrial markets. Over time, he has developed a strong reputation advising corporate occupiers on complex real estate challenges, including acquisitions, lease negotiations, rent reviews, and portfolio optimisation across national footprints.
In 2021, Matt joined ResolveXO along with Brendan and Nick, where he continued to play an integral role in managing and advising on large-scale industrial portfolios. He is recognised for his commercial acumen, ability to manage complex negotiations, and for consistently aligning property outcomes with his clients’ broader business strategies.
